Project: Student mobile app for colleges

Curtis Benhayon designed and built a mobile app that vocational colleges give to their students. One app serves many colleges. Each college gets its own branding, content and data, kept separate from every other college on the platform.
What it does
A home feed with college news, announcements and pinned posts.
Group and one-to-one chat with voice notes, file sharing, @mentions, pinned messages and link previews.
An optional digital student ID. Students upload a photo, staff approve it, and the card shows a QR code that changes every 30 seconds. The code is generated on the phone, so it works without a signal.
A web admin portal where college staff manage students, posts and ID approvals.
How it is built
React Native app for iOS and Android, published on the App Store.
Laravel (PHP) API and admin portal, with a separate database for each college.
A Node.js real-time server for chat.
Over-the-air updates, so fixes reach students' phones without waiting for a new store release.
Automated test suites and regular security reviews.
Curtis's role
Product design, system architecture, full-stack development, app store releases and security reviews.
